#1 - THE PHYSICAL:
By living a strong, healthy, confident life through our physical bodies, we are able to have more energy and passion to make an impact in our families, careers and communities. Our desire is to help others live pain and disease free through proper exercise and nutrition.
Obesity is a growing problem here in the United States. The CDC has determined that by 2030, nearly 50% of the population will be considered obese. Obesity has been linked to known health problems including heart disease, type 2 diabetes, some cancers and mortality.
This problem not only affects the adult population but also that of our children. 1 of every 5 children are affected with weight problems. This creates a wide range of health problems early on in life.
There are many contributing factors to the health crisis in America, but we believe proper education and connecting people to the importance of their health can not only change lives, but save them.
#2 - THE MENTAL:
By having a calm, focused and centered mind, we can focus on providing value to those around us, being present with our family and accomplishing difficult tasks. We want to free others from the problems of anxiety, suicide, and depression.
Over the past 10 years, there has been a strong upwards trend for depression and anxiety in the United States, particularly for those under the age of 26. In fact, health care costs for those with mental health issues is way up, but there has been no decrease in the problem itself.
A study showed that Americans worry about finances up to 6 times a day, yet on average only spend an hour and twelve minutes a month planning and budgeting their money.
Americans are less productive at work, less motivated to change their lifestyle and are often stuck in a monotonous routine that is counterproductive to the life they actually desire to live. High Powered wants to empower and educate the community on strengthening their mind in ways that encourage long term behavioral change.
#3 - THE SPIRITUAL:
By having a solid foundation of faith in the creator of the universe, we live intently with purpose in order to make the world a better place. We keep Christ at the center of our mission and empower others through the word of God.
In the past 50-70 years, far more people now report they have no religious preference. Without having something greater to believe in, many don’t believe in themselves. We have been convinced that we are living meaningless lives on a giant, spinning ball in the middle of a vast, expansive universe that no one can explain the creation of.
According to the Barna Group, atheism has increased 12% while non-evangelical born again christians have dropped 10% between the years 2012 and 2018. Please note the correlation between a faithless population and increase alongside the increase of depression and anxiety.
Psychology Science recently found in a study that poor nations lived more meaningful lives than wealthy nations potentially because the poor nations were often more religious. We believe having a strong faith in something greater brings meaning and purpose to our lives. When we know we were created on purpose for a purpose, we are far more inclined to live fulfilled lives.
High Powered was created to help members of our community excel in these three areas in order to improve quality of life, faith and fulfillment.
